The Curious Katz Series grew from a simple idea: the qualities we rely on throughout our lives (courage, resilience, compassion, responsibility, honesty, and integrity) don't suddenly appear just when we need them -- they are qualities we begin discovering and developing as children.

That's the idea behind the Curious Katz series.

Through Cal and Tabi, their parents Thomas and Felicia, their friends—and, of course, Mollie—the stories explore the everyday choices, questions, challenges, and adventures children encounter as they grow up.

Sometimes the answers (what to do, what to say, how to behave) seem obvious — but sometimes they aren't. And sometimes the most interesting part isn't about finding the answer at all, but talking about the question.

These stories aren't intended to tell young readers what to think. They're meant to give children—and the adults who share the stories with them—something worth thinking about.

Because a good story can entertain, and a worthy idea can stay with us.
